Bangladesh has emerged as one of South Asia’s engines for software outsourcing and export. The GDP of the country has steadily increased due to the ICT sector, which has contributed to the economy’s steady expansion. In FY 2020–21, the industry brought in $1.3 billion from exports while controlling a $1.4 billion market share in sales on the domestic market. The IT/ITES sector has so far generated more than a million job openings in Bangladesh, adding 0.76% to the GDP of the entire nation. Bangladesh currently hosts over 1,200 active startups. In 2021-22, the country received a total investment of $504 million, with $490 million coming from global investors. The largest mobile financial service provider in the country, recently secured a $250 million investment valuing the company at approximately $2 billion. This industry, therefore, has a need to keep progressing by broadening the range of services offered, elevating their quality, and assuring internet security.
