Advanced Workshop for USAID’s South Asian Regional Digital Initiative (SARDI) Cybersecurity Awareness activity for MSMEs in Bangladesh along with SME Foundation

The advanced workshop, co-hosted by Inspira Advisory & Consulting Limited and the SME Foundation, was organised on February 27, 2024, at the Institute of SME Foundation Business Lab in Dhaka. The event was organised as part of USAID’s South Asian Regional Digital Initiative (SARDI) Cybersecurity Awareness activity for MSMEs in Bangladesh.
 
The workshop focused on empowering MSMEs with an established online presence and offering insights into cybersecurity and cyber law. Cybersecurity Expert Tanvir Hassan Zoha provided an overview of the cybersecurity landscape and real-life cases and conducted hands-on training covering secure website management, domain hosting, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and password management to bolster e-commerce platform security for MSMEs.

Legal Expert Saimum Reza Talukder shared insightful real-world nuances of online copyright infringement and embezzlement cases, emphasising the importance of NDA usage and contract wording when dealing with third-party transactions, along with appropriate wording in contracts to make them enforceable.
