MoU Signing with Dr. Nazmul Chowdhury

We’re pleased to announce a new partnership with Dr.Nazmul Chowdhury. On January 11th, we formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) welcoming Dr.Nazmul to our advisor pool.

Dr. Nazmul Chowdhury holds a Master’s in Agricultural Science, a Bachelor of Arts, and a professional Diploma in Poverty-Focused Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK. Engaged in various leadership roles, they are an Executive Committee and Life Member of multiple agricultural societies and networks in Bangladesh. Notably, they are a former Senior Adviser-Agriculture at WRG-2030, the World Bank Group, and an Innovator of Sandbar Cropping and Founder Director of Pumpkin Plus Agro Innovation Limited.

With over 28 years of experience, Dr. Nazmul’s career includes roles at DFID, Practical Action, and active participation in a USAID-led global consortium focused on water and food security. His specialization spans agricultural sector development, disaster risk reduction, extreme poverty programs, humanitarian responses, and climate change adaptation. They have innovated climate-smart and pro-poor solutions such as “Sandbar cropping,” “Floating Garden,” and “Crops in the Crisis” to address food insecurity and support the Rohingya crisis.

Having received nine international awards, including three UN awards, Dr. Nazmul’s  accomplishments showcase expertise in strategy development, program management, monitoring and evaluation, administration, and HR. He possesses a comprehensive understanding of national and international development contexts, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and influencing pro-poor policies on climate change and food insecurity. A passionate advocate for socio-economic development, they have spoken at numerous global policy forums and universities, contributing to causes of global significance. He brings unrivaled knowledge on climate and agriculture.
