Experience

With an academic background in Sociology from the University of Chittagong, Saimun Abser has been part of social research and evaluation studies in the areas of Humanitarian Response, MHM, Livelihood Assessment, WASH, Labour Market Assessment, etc. Her major responsibilities in these projects have been coordinating the field enumerators, training enumerators, conducting on-site data collection through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with beneficiaries, and Key Informant Interviews with local government representatives and other relevant stakeholders. Saimun is a Chittagong native. She has proficiency in the local dialect and a long-standing exposure to Rohingya communities, enabling her to interact directly with both host and Rohingya communities as an ethnographic researcher in the humanitarian context.
