On October 4th, A workshop was organized by MANUSHER JONNO FOUNDATION to present the findings of the study titled “Assessment of Gender Impacts on Renewable Energy Sources and Technologies in Bangladesh,” conducted by Inspira. This event aimed to disseminate research outcomes and facilitate policy advocacy efforts to address gender-related energy challenges faced by Bangladeshi women.
Mohammed Salman Rahman, Director and Partner of Inspira Advisory & Consulting Ltd. delivered the keynote speech to an esteemed panel featuring renowned experts, including the chief guest Ms. Waseqa Ayesha Khan MP, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources.
Other panelists included Dr. Khondaker Golam Moazzem, Research Director at the Centre of Policy Dialogue (CPD); Dr. Tania Haque, Director of the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nessa Centre for Gender and Development Studies and Ms. Nahid Sharmin, Gender Specialist at a2i. Ms. Shaheen Anam, Executive Director of the Manusher Jonno Foundation, expertly moderated the workshop, ensuring a dynamic and productive exchange of insights and ideas.
