IOM Project Advisory Committee Meeting in Cox’s Bazar

On January 12th, 2023, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) convened a Project Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting in Cox’s Bazar titled “Strengthening Social Cohesion & Civil Society Capacity Within Cox’s Bazar District of Bangladesh”. The meeting aimed to review and discuss the progress of three core outcomes : the development of small-scale infrastructure, livelihood improvement, and enhancement of local partners’ capacities in Cox’s Bazar.

The meeting was held at the District Commissioner’s Office and was attended by esteemed guests, including the Deputy Commissioner of Cox’s Bazar district, Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNO), representatives from Global Affairs Canada and IOM, and other notable government and global stakeholders.

Md. Naushad Alam, the Project Manager from Inspira Advisory & Consulting Limited, delivered a keynote presentation that provided insights into Inspira’s study on the scoping of small-scale infrastructure across 18 vulnerable Unions in 8 Upazilas of Cox’s Bazar District.

The meeting was a successful gathering of honorable guests and global stakeholders who participated in the progress of IOM’s initiatives aimed at enhancing social cohesion and local capacity. The meeting demonstrated the commitment of the participants to drive positive change and improve the livelihoods of the communities in Cox’s Bazar district.
