We are pleased to partner up with GIZ to conduct the ‘Market-based Needs Assessment of Transferable/Portable Skills Development Interventions for Rohingya/ FDMN situated in Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar District”. This assessment aims to examine the current landscape of skills development in Rohingya camps, including modules, curriculum, training providers, and access challenges. The primary goal of this assignment is to evaluate the existing skills development interventions by different organizations in the camps and provide recommendations for new strategies. The overarching objective is to introduce approaches that sustain income and reduce vulnerability among Rohingya communities residing in the camps.
The project aims to provide the unskilled and under skilled population living in the Rohingya Camps skill development training so that they can earn utilizing their skills. The project will identify the existing training programs that are conducted by the GoB, NGOs and UN agencies, the duration of those programs, target areas, curriculum and duration of those training programs to analyze where and what type of skill development programs are going on and where are the gap areas where Output-1 (Livelihood and Skills Development component) can be implemented to gain maximum results. The long term goal of this program is to utilize and create able workforce from the Rohingya camps instead of the camp population sitting idle in the camps doing nothing.
