Sumaiya has over 9 years of experience in criminology, where she has worked with both local and international organizations. She currently works as a lecturer at the Department of Criminology at the University of Dhaka. Her area of teaching covers courses related to terrorism, criminal psychology, victimology, development and criminality. She has also worked in the capacity of a social development expert at the World Bankâs âFinal Evaluation of Low-Income Community Housing Support Projectâ. Her work experience also includes working at organizations like the UN Office of Drugs and Crime, BRAC Institute of Governance and Development, University of Khulna, USAID, National Deference College, and University of Kassel, Germany. She has been the head of research and development at Spreeha Bangladesh Foundation where she worked on gender-based discrimination, youth grievance and poverty. We hope that Samia Iqbal with all of her expertise will enhance the value of Inspiraâs existing illustrated advisor panel.
