MoU Signing with Interactive Cares

We are pleased to partnerup with Interactive Cares for the project “USAID’s South Asian Regional Digital Initiative (SARDI), the Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign for MSMEs” in Bangladesh. The project aims to increase the cybersecurity practices scope of the MSMEs. The project is trying to change the MSME practices on the behavioural level. The MSME workers will build up a practice of maintaining digital hygiene by recognizing the threats that might occur and will avoid these practices. For this short course, Inspira is partnering up with Interactive Cares to help create, promote and publish the course on the Interactive Cares platform.

Interactive Cares, is a concern of Interactive Ventures Limited. They are Bangladesh’s first ever cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) based platform for E-learning, health, mental health and legal service to customers through real-time communication. This website allows people to easily register and search for experts for  E-learning, health, mental health and legal services. Participants can directly chat, voice call and video call with them. Moreover, there is a virtual whiteboard and an automated prescription system for the experts.

Bangladesh’s online scams and fraudulent activities have increased over the last three years. According to an Accenture study, nearly 43% of all cybercrime attacks are on small businesses and 46% of all cyber crimes are attempted on companies employing 1000 or fewer workers. According to a World Economic Forum Report, only 14% of the MSMEs are prepared to face such cyber attacks and almost 95% of the cybersecurity breaches are attributed to human error. Recognizing the urgent need to address this issue, a campaign has been launched funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and an initiative of the South Asia Regional Development Initiative (SARDI), and being implemented by the Development Alternatives Inc. DAI, aimed at equipping MSME owners and employees with the knowledge and skills to defend against cyber threats.

The core concept of the course does not include any technical aspects, rather the practices in this course will include some basic and common digital etiquette. Inspira and Interactive Cares are creating this short course for all the MSME workers and young entrepreneurs willing to work in the e-commerce platforms.
