With an academic background in Criminology, University of Dhaka, Tanjin Ahsan has been part of social and criminological research since 2016-Gender Based Violence (GBV), Violence against Minorities, Structural Violence, Political Crime, Terrorism, White Collar Crime, Cybercrime, National Security and Youth empowerment. She has coordinated conducting on-site data collection through In-depth Interview (IDI) Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), KII and Case study with respondents, local government representatives and other relevant stakeholders and data analysis. Her journey with qualitative research work launched in 2016 through representing her first solo research work- âSocial Media and Auto-Radicalization of Bangladeshi Youthâ in the International Conference on Terrorism in the Wave of the ISIS organized by the Department of Criminology, University of Dhaka. She has achieved the âFirst Undergraduate Research Fellowship Award-2018â from the Global Center for Innovation and Learning (GCFIL), USA for her research work- âChallenges Faced by Female Students in Politics of University of Dhakaâ on behalf of her team âPolitics, Law and Legal System, Dhaka University Research Society (DURS). Currently she is working as Research Intern in Inspira Advisory and Consulting Limited and she is regularly contributing to Inspira ACLâs business development department by writing proposals for NGOs/INGOs development sector projects.
